Luciana Paluzzi
Luciana Paluzzi, an Italian actor who was brunette with plenty of weight and a huge smile, became famous after the film of Gina Llobrigida. After appearing on both sides of the Atlantic throughout the 1950s for movies like Three Coins in the Fountain, (1954), and Sea Fury, (1958) Luciana Paluzzi got a shot at American TV fame in the character of Simone Genet in the spy weekly Five Fingers in 1959. The actress met with Bond producers in 1965 to talk about the possibility of being considered as the lead girl Domino Derval in Thunderball. Terence Young gave her Fiona Volpe as a model, and she is one of a few women who can resist Mr. Bond's charms. Fiona, as a punishment she is killed by the floor of the club by Bond's friends. James, who then puts her body to rest on an adjacent table for dining, asks "Does it bother you when I sit this one out?" She's just dead." Luciana Paluzzi was able to continue her European career in the 1970s by directing this film. Films such as Captain Nemo & The Underwater City (in 1969), The Six Million Dollar Man (in 1973) and The Klansman(in 1974) as well as The Greek Tycoon were all made during the decade.
