Maureen Denise McCormick - the youngest of Richard McCormick's kids - was born at Woodland Hills in 1956. She was raised by a mother who was household worker and father who was a teacher. Michael Dennis Kevin is her three elder siblings. McCormick began singing and performing in the early years of her life. At the age six, McCormick was crowned her first prize in the Baby Miss San Fernando Valley contest. Pat Domigan from the Jack Wormser Agency then called her to ask whether she was interested in a career in showbusiness. Her first major role came during 1964, which was when she appeared in a television commercial featuring Mattels new doll Baby Pattaburp. A year later she was a guest on an additional firm's Chatty Cathy Doll and was soon chosen to play her role in the La Jolla Playhouse play Wind ItUp And ItBreaks. The Brady Bunch In 1969 McCormick was chosen out of a crowd of over 1,200 kids who auditioned for the chance to be the youngest of three towheaded girls on the brand new TV comedy The Brady Bunch starring Florence Henderson and Robert Reed as newlyweds with a blended family. The five-year run of the show proved to be a huge successful one. McCormick wrote in her book from 2008 Heres the Story : Surviving Marcia Brady & Finding My True Voice she almost ended her relationship in the fifth season to Barry Williams, her co-star and on-screen brother. In the moment, she was just 16 years old and he was 19. She said but the timing wasn't the right time for us.
